Potential tax issues with Phillip Seymour Hoffman's estate

Phillip Seymour Hoffman has been laid to rest. Now the speculation begins about how his estate will be divided.  As we highlighted in a prior post, Hoffman was not married, even though he and longtime girlfriend Marianna O’Connell have three children together; two daughters and a son. Also, Hoffman’s estate is rumored to be worth upwards of $35 million.

Shirley Temple remembered as she passes away

Anyone familiar with the classic songs “On the Good Ship Lollipop” and “When I Grow Up” can remember the charm and cuteness that Shirley Temple brought to movie audiences throughout the Great Depression. Temple was reportedly a number one draw at the box office for three years in a row in the 1930’s as her films “Curly Top”, “The Little Colonel”, and “Bright Eyes” became classic stories of song and charm.

How will Phillip Seymour Hoffman's estate be divided?

Super Bowl Sunday was marred with the news of the sudden death of Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The 46-year-old actor noted for his roles in “Magnolia”, “The Talented Mr. Ripley”, and the “Hunger Games” films was found dead in his New York City apartment. According to numerous media reports about how he was found, Hoffman presumably passed away due to a drug overdose.
